Acer Aspire One D260 netbook Arrives in Summer

Acer has officially unveiled their latest netbook, the Acer Aspire One D260, boasting up to 8 hours running time, Intel Atom N455 1.66GHz processor latest (together with the N450 as well) and up to 2 GB of RAM. The D260 features a 10.1-inch 1024 x 600 200-nit display, GMA 3150 graphics, and optional quad 3G/UMTS. Unfortunately there is no trace of the alleged Android OS option, we heard back in April, only Windows 7

There is also WiFi b / g / n, Bluetooth 3.0 + HS and 10/100 Ethernet, along with three USB 2.0 ports, VGA, audio in / out and a multiformat card reader. Storage is either a 160GB or 250GB hard drive, and there are two batteries: a 3-cell pack good for up to 4 h or a 6-cell for up to 8 hours.

So, nothing particularly dramatic in terms of the specifications then, the actual sentence will have to wait until we know the price. Unfortunately, Acer do not say to the Aspire One D260 drops to 1 July 2010.

Acer Unveils “Amazing” Macbook-like Aspire Ethos Laptop

Acer has a new member of its popular Aspire laptop series with the name of Ethos, whose main attraction is a secondary touch screen that can be used as a touchpad for a variety of multimedia functions such as sound control announced, music shuffling between tracks etc.

The company said in a statement that “The disk is now combined with the touchpad console, providing a set of commands, all from a single key and a completely new approach to control entertainment” led.

Acer Aspire Ethos 8943G & 5943G HD notebooks now on sale

Acer has outed a new series of notebooks, the Acer Aspire series ethos that promise with chic design, multimedia performance. Two models were first announced, the ethos Acer Aspire 8943G and Aspire 5943G ethos, with a choice of Intel Core i7 processors and i5, 18-inch 1920 x 1080 and 15.6-inch display and 1366 x 768 or ATI Mobility Radeon HD5000 graphics.

There’s also Dolby Home Theater surround sound support with 5.1 output, and indeed the ethos 5943G manages to fit in a full five speakers on its own. The memory is up to 1.28TB (combination of two 640GB hard drives) and there is a choice of DVD or Blu-ray optical drives.

Connectivity includes WiFi, Ethernet and Bluetooth 2.1, eSATA, USB, FireWire, HDMI and VGA, and there is a fingerprint reader and webcam. No word on prices and availability of the Italian today launched, but we advise them are premium machines.
